A great feather in the Nautic cap, is the success story of the Cote d'Ivoire's Ferry programme.
"Standard Bank sent pan-African broadcaster Lee Kasumba up the Continent to uncover the potential of its markets as a part of the Africa Connected project.
While visiting Abidjan, the capital city of Cote d'Ivoire, Kasumba met with the CEO of maritime transport company Citrans.
Citrans has a partnership with South African shipbuilder Nautic Africa, Kasumba uncovers.
Part of the deal involves the shipping of 18 ferries made in South Africa to Cote d'Ivoire, she explains.
The contract has created a great deal of employment opportunities in Cote d'Ivoir and offers a lot more growth potential, Kasumba says."
